Lighthouse Preschool, Inc. now serves the Brooklyn community, at 311 90th Street, Brooklyn 11209. Our name has been changed to Lighthouse Group Family Daycare, however the quality and scope of our services to children remain the same as when we first started in 2001.

Currently we have openings for full time and/or several part time positions depending on the day. Give us a call or drop us a line to see if we have days that work for you!

We accept children between the ages of 15 months through five years old.  If you’re child is also in elementary school, we can also take them in as an after school or also when schools are closed for week long breaks, like mid-winter breaks or spring breaks.

Payments are done by cash or check each month.  We also accept ACS vouchers.

We are a licensed group family daycare in the Bay Ridge area of Brooklyn.  There are 2 certified teachers working every day all year round, with the daycare only closing on major holidays.  All the teachers are also certified with CPR and First Aid training and Food Safety.

Each month we teach a new curriculum to the children that includes a theme, vocabulary word, shape/color, letter, number and nursery rhyme.  Arts and crafts, workbooks, puzzles, and tons of pretend play toys! We play outside every day and when the weather is nice we are outside every morning.  We also offer free tutoring for any of our students, ages four to five, to prepare them for the Gifted and Talented tests.

Lighthouse Preschool, Inc. was originally founded in New York City in 2001 when our teachers had the ambitious idea of guiding children through their early years of life in a preschool setting.  We welcome children as young as 2 years old to 6 years old and provide them with everything they need to succeed and thrive in school – love, encouragement, social interaction with children their age, and a variety of fundamental skills to prepare them for school.

We are very proud of all of our students who have passed through our doors as we watch them graduate from preschool and move on to kindergarten in public school.  Our teachers take pride in the fact that we best prepare our students for what they will face in a public school setting and for years to come, our efforts will continuously show in their progression throughout their school life.

All of our teachers are chosen for their warmth, education, and experience and have a huge impact on our students. In order for them to be hired, they must complete a thorough application, screening, and training process, complying with Lighthouse’s standards and local government regulations before being placed in the classroom.
